Consistent Construction of Realistic One-body Density Matrix in Nuclei

چکیده
A phenomenological method based on the natural orbital representation is applied to construct the ground state one-body density matrix which describes correctly both density and momentum distributions in He, O and Ca nuclei. The parameters of the matrix are fixed by a best fit to the experimental density distribution and to the correlated nucleon momentum distribution. The method allows the natural orbitals, the occupation probabilities and the depletion of the Fermi sea to be obtained. Ground-state characteristics of He, O and Ca nuclei, such as rms radii and mean kinetic energies are calculated, as well.

Does localization occur in a hierarchical random – matrix model for many – body states ? 1
We use random–matrix theory and supersymmetry techniques to work out the two– point correlation function between states in a hierarchical model which employs Feshbach’s chaining hypothesis: Classes of many–body states are introduced. Only states within the same or neighboring classes are coupled. We assume that the density of states per class grows monotonically with class index. The problem is...
متن کاملAb Initio Calculation of the Electromagnetic and Neutral Weak Response Functions of 4He and 12C
Precise measurement of neutrino oscillations, and hence the determination of their masses demands a quantitative understanding of neutrino-nucleus interactions. To this aim, two-body meson-exchange currents have to be accounted for along within realistic models of nuclear dynamics. We summarize our progresses towards the construction of a consistent framework, based on quantum Monte Carlo metho...
متن کاملGamow shell model and realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions
We present a new and efficient method to obtain a Gamow shell-model basis and matrix elements generated by realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions. We derive a self-consistent Hartree-Fock potential from the renormalized NLO interaction model. The corresponding Gamow one-body eigenstates are generated in a plane wave basis in order to build a Gamow shell-model set of basis states for the closed ...
متن کاملDensity matrix renormalization group and wave function factorization for nuclei
We employ the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) and the wave function factorization method for the numerical solution of large scale nuclear structure problems. The DMRG exhibits an improved convergence for problems with realistic interactions due to the implementation of the finite algorithm. The wave function factorization of fpg-shell nuclei yields rapidly converging approximations...
متن کاملA Self-Consistent Technique for the Construction and Evaluation of the Three-Parameter Corresponding States Principles
A self-consistent approach for the evaluation of the existing three-parameter corresponding states principles of non-polar fluids and the calculation of the corresponding states parameters is presented. This self consistent approach is based upon the assumption that the contribution of the third parameter to the thermophysical properties is much smaller than the contributions of the first two p...
